Montreal Chamber
Music Festival

June 13 to 23, 2024

Dive into
the passion
of music

Dear Festival Family,

It is finally here! Here is our long-awaited and highly anticipated 29th season!

For me, this Festival is a passion! After all these years, the flame has not dimmed in the least.

The Festival is designed for your pleasure. It is more than just another series of concerts.

Our programming is always unique and pushes the boundaries of traditional chamber music. The varied choice of performers and repertoire at every concert, the combination of seasoned professionals and the finest rising stars creating an on-stage synergy otherwise not to be found anywhere in our city, annual commissions of works or transcriptions of beloved compositions, the inclusion of other disciplines like dance, narration, the celebration of great composers and performers milestone anniversaries…all this is the Festival.

From June 13 to 23, you will be treated to 13 exceptional performances. Our five noon-hour concerts are FREE! The Festival comprises seven evening and afternoon concerts at BOURGIE HALL and a grand FINALE at MAISON SYMPHONIQUE on June 23rd. That concert alone features 19 of Canada’s and Quebec’s best artists performing all six Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti, led by Canada’s beloved and world-renowned violinist James Ehnes.

Over 50 artists from around the world will grace our stage.

Most importantly, our raison d’être is YOU! Chamber music’s unique, intimate, conversational nature is the language we speak to share the expressive qualities (tempo, articulations, etc.) we all imbue into the works we perform. At the Festival, listening is an activity of connection intended to elevate, entertain, amuse, educate, and inspire.

You will LOVE this year’s Festival! See you there!
